Vegan Balls

INGREDIENTS
For the balls
- 2 cups TVP crumbles or one 12 oz. package of premade vegan crumbles
- 1 small onion, finely diced (omit if usingTVP crumbles recipe)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup of your favorite plant based milk (e.g. almond milk, soy milk, rice milk) but avoid coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon ground flax
- pinch all spice
- ground black pepper, to taste
For the gravy
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cup vegetable stock
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1/4 cup of your favorite plant based milk (e.g. almond milk, soy milk, rice milk) but avoid coconut milk
- salt and ground black pepper, to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Fry onion oven medium heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix together the breadcrumbs, plant based milk, ground flax, and spices.
- Combine the onion, the mixture and crumbles.
- Form into balls.
- Bake in oven for 20 minutes.
- While the balls are baking, combine the gravy ingredients and warm up in a sauce pan.
