TVP Crumbles

INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups low sodium vegetable broth
- 1 cup TVP (texturized vegetable protein)
- 1 small yellow onion
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste or 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon A1 sauce
- Ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon sugar free ketchup (we like True Made Foods or Primal Kitchen ketchup, both are sugar free)
DIRECTIONS
- Fry onion and minced garlic for a few minutes.
- Mix in the remaining ingredients except for the TVP and bring to a rolling boil.
- Mix in the TVP, reduce to low heat, and simmer for about 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until this has reached your desired consistency.
