Overnight Oatmeal

INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1 1/2 teaspoons seeds (e.g. chia seeds, ground flax seeds, hemp seeds)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup (that's 6 tablespoons) of your favorite plant based milk (e.g. almond milk, soy milk, rice milk) but avoid coconut milk
- Some sort of "mashed" sweet fruit:
- apple butter or apple sauce
- 1 small, very ripe banana, mashed
DIRECTIONS
- In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients (oatmeal, seeds, cinnamon).
- Mix in the water or plant based milk.
- Let the bowl sit overnight at room temperature, not in your refrigerator.
- The next morning, mix in the mashed fruit (apple butter, apple sauce, banana) and whatever additional ingredients you would like (e.g. nuts, berries).
