Overnight Oatmeal

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seeds (e.g. chia seeds, ground flax seeds, hemp seeds)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup (that's 6 tablespoons) of your favorite plant based milk (e.g. almond milk, soy milk, rice milk) but avoid coconut milk
  • Some sort of "mashed" sweet fruit:


DIRECTIONS

  1. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients (oatmeal, seeds, cinnamon).
  2. Mix in the water or plant based milk.
  3. Let the bowl sit overnight at room temperature, not in your refrigerator.
  4. The next morning, mix in the mashed fruit (apple butterapple sauce, banana) and whatever additional ingredients you would like (e.g. nuts, berries).
