Cashew Cheese Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder


DIRECTIONS

  1. Soak the cashews in water overnight.
  2. Process all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  3. Move the mixture into a sauce pan and cook over medium heat, constantly stirring, until it reaches your desired consistency (about 15 to 20 minutes).
